Description of Functions

Upload Database: This process uploads a copy of the database to your website's location to have the most recent information available to your customers online.

Download RMA: It downloads the information of RMA's that has been requested online to make them available for the next next which is "Import RMA".

Import RMA: This process loads the RMAs requested online into Serialex. RMAs requested online create a temporary number for client's reference. The real RMA number is created once your products have arrived to your warehouse/RMA dept. and have been verified with the Online RMA Request. RMA requested online are verified for expired warranties and serial number existence in your database to avoid receiving and processing expired warranties or products not sold by your company.

Receive RMAs: When you receive the products that have an RMA requested online, use this process to validate them against the original request. Some times clients do not send all products or send the wrong serial numbers. In this process you can verify and create an RMA number for processing.

Backup: Process to backup Serialex database. It can be saved in the same computer (not recommended), other mapped computers on the network, pen drives, external drives, etc.

Restore Database : This process will replace your database with a previous backup. Serialex Tech Support DOES NOT recommend executing a restore without consulting Tech Support. All your information will be replaced with the values contained in the backup. This is NOT reversible unless you ran a backup before restoring.
